I mean no one deserves to be objectified but at the same time if you have enough damn sense you know that walking around with almost nothing on is going to draw some negative attention. So if you are willing to walk your happy ass out in public barely dressed don’t get mad if you get a few cat calls and what not as a response. I know women hate this line but you are ASKING FOR IT! Same thing if I walk into a police station dressed like a thug. I don’t deserve to be treated differently because of how I dress but its just going to happen so why don’t I just do myself a favor and NOT do it?!

I obviously completely disagree with everything above, but don’t currently have the mental energy to dissect it. Anyone else wanna take care of this for me?

First. What exactly does a “slut” look like? Because I thought it was just a girl who sleeps around. You would never call a guy a slut.

And second of all: men (and street harassers are mainly men) should be able to control themselves and not yell out cat calls. Just because I’m showing cleavage doesn’t mean that ANYONE has the right to make me feel unsafe and make me feel like MY BODY is an OBJECT. Because it’s not, it’s my own fucking body and I can dress however damn well I please, and I shouldn’t have to worry about gross cat-calls because men can control themselves.

And I don’t know what that false equvialncy to dressing like a thug was, but cops aren’t going to arrest someone dressed like a thug solely for that purpose.

Oy at that first guy. I just don’t UNDERSTAND how these men think. If sexual attraction=rape=cat calls and objectification for you, I mean, that sucks. I am sorry that is how you think about sex. That is the wrong way to think about sex, and you shouldn’t be allowed to have it anymore.
